Evolution

Field Pansy (Viola arvensis), seen along a field edge on a bridleway west of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, on 6 May 2013. I'd have liked more time to get more photos but my friends were walking ahead of me and I didn't want to lose them! But still, this is a good photo! I've seen Field Pansies before and am always amazed at how small, pretty and delicate they are, but had not had a chance to photograph one before.
